Bluff Beach is active sea-turtle habitat. We support awareness, education, and collaboration with local conservation guides so nesting and hatching can be witnessed respectfully, without putting wildlife at risk.

Sea turtles return to Bluff Beach, rainforest wildlife crosses the property, and the Caribbean carries everything we leave behind. Our job is to tread more lightly.
One connected promise

Turtle conservation and plastic reduction belong together. Sea turtles can mistake drifting plastic for food, while beachfront light, noise, and careless observation can interfere with nesting. At Oasis, the response starts with practical choices and good guest guidance.
Use less single-use plastic
Every room has reusable water bottles, and guests can refill with filtered water at Oasis. It is a simple shift with real value on an island where discarded plastic can quickly reach the sea.
Run on cleaner energy
Oasis runs primarily on solar energy, supported by hydroelectric grid power and a generator when needed. This layered system keeps the hotel comfortable and reliable while allowing the sun to do much of the work.
A living shoreline
Set for the day. Never fixed into the beach.
Bluff Beach is a natural reserve, so our beach setup is intentionally light and non-permanent. Tables, chairs, and umbrellas move with the weather, surf, nesting activity, and the needs of the shoreline. That flexibility lets us offer thoughtful beach service without turning the sand into a permanent installation.

- Refill the reusable bottles in your room instead of buying single-use water bottles.
- Keep the nesting beach dark, quiet, and clear when turtles may be active.
- Never touch a turtle, hatchling, nest, or starfish; follow local guide instructions.
- Take litter with you and help keep plastics out of the sand, mangroves, and sea.
Look a little closer
The wildlife is part of the stay.
Borrow binoculars and local flora and fauna guides from the Oasis library, then watch the gardens, canopy, and shoreline at your own pace. Several hummingbird species visit our feeders every day, while shorebirds work the tide line just beyond the gardens.

Solar power does much of the work at Oasis. Hydroelectric grid power and a generator provide dependable backup when needed—important in our remote beachfront setting—while solar remains at the center of how we operate.
